An independent Writer and Video Producer Shahana Raza has

worked in Broadcast TV, Video Production, Radio and Print

media, in India, USA as well as Dubai, UAE.

Aside from being a published journalist, she has also translated

the Urdu memoir of India’s First Woman radio newsreader,

Saeeda Bano into English as ‘Off the Beaten Track: The Story of

My Unconventional Life’ which has been jointly published by

Penguin India and Zubaan Books. Shahana has had the

opportunity to discuss the book at the prestigious Jaipur

Literature Festival’s ‘Words are Bridges’ session in 2020

and was featured at the Emirates Airline Festival of Literature’s

‘Litfest Launchpad’ event in 2021.

Shahana completed her Bachelor’s degree in English Honors

from Delhi University and her Masters in Film & Video Production

from A. J. K. Mass Communication Research Centre, New Delhi.
